Private Sector Influence Index

A high-trust research dashboard for structural resilience to undue private-sector influence.

PSII Core v2 compares structural conditions across countries. It is an annual screening tool for policy and research, not a record of actual influence events.

Score direction: higher = more resilient / less structurally susceptible. Scores are displayed to 3 decimals at most.
Not a causal proof: PSII scores describe structural conditions. They do not prove that any specific company, network, or foreign commercial actor influenced a particular event, crisis, or policy decision.

Research origin

PSII originated in the creator's SAIS capstone and Philippines/South China Sea field research. The public dashboard translates that research question into a cautious annual structure: what conditions make policy environments more resilient, or more susceptible, to undue private-sector influence?

Version separation

PSII Published v1

The 2023 published edition is archival and tied to the original publication. It should not be merged into the annual Core v2 rankings.

PSII Core v2

The annual structural index uses the revised v2 methodology. It is resilience-oriented and not numerically identical to the chapter table.

A map is intentionally deferred until coverage is broad enough to avoid a misleading visual summary.
